image-blaster turns one photo into a walkable 3D world, stitching together five other services

The image-blaster skill for Claude Code turns one photo into a walkable 3D scene in under five minutes, but it chains paid APIs, not a new model of its own.

image-blaster turns one photo into a walkable 3D world, stitching together five other services

The repository that circulated this weekend is image-blaster, and the demo holds up: one photograph in, a walkable 3D scene out in under five minutes. Three things the viral posts leave out: it is not a new model, it is not free, and the code is not new.

A skill that chains other people's models

The repo calls itself an image-to-world skillset for Claude, meaning Claude Code. You clone it, run claude, supply your own World Labs and FAL keys, drop an image into input/ and tell it to blast it. The contribution is orchestration, not a model: World Labs' marble-1.1 builds the explorable environment, Hunyuan-3D on FAL builds the meshes, nano-banana by default (or gpt-image-2) handles cleanup and reference frames, and ElevenLabs supplies the audio.

What one image returns

Per image, in a few minutes:

  • Environment: a Gaussian splat (.spz) of the static scene
  • Objects: meshes (.glb or .obj) of the dynamic pieces
  • Audio: an ambient loop plus object-specific physics effects (.mp3)

The result imports into Unity, Unreal, Godot, Blender, 3DS Max, Maya or a Three.js and Electron build, which is why game developers noticed.

The interesting part is the meter

Tunable Hunyuan settings include face count (the skill defaults to 50,000 against the API's 500,000), PBR on or off, and Normal, LowPoly or Geometry generation types. Every image spends World Labs credits for the environment, FAL credits for the meshes and ElevenLabs credits for the audio, on top of the Claude Code session doing the stitching. Nothing runs locally, and nothing is free.

A repository from April, a weekend in October

image-blaster carries roughly 7,700 stars, 764 forks and about 72 commits. Its last commits are dated May 2026, and the README and license commits are five months old, which dates the public repository to around April. What is new is the demo reaching feeds this weekend, not the technique.

The reaction has a template

The spark looks like an r/singularity post from October 4 titled 'It's over, guys. This repo turns ONE photo into a full explorable 3D world in 5 minutes. Physics, splats, audio!', with roughly 492 points and 78 comments (thread). The thread's own running joke is fatigue with 'it's over, guys'. World Labs promoted the repo on LinkedIn and describes Marble as a multimodal world model.

What would change the verdict

Price decides it. If a few cents per image is cheap enough to iterate, an agent that stitches five generative services into one asset pipeline is more useful than any single better model; if the meter bites, the same demo is a party trick. A walkthrough shows the flow end to end, and our earlier piece on ad-to-playable-game pipelines covers the same ambition from a different direction.
